General terms and conditions

ARTICLE 1: PURPOSE AND SCOPE

These regulations set out the general conditions for enrolment in courses as well as the rights and obligations of students in our school.

ARTICLE 2 : ADMISSION

Admission is considered final as soon as the registration has been validated by the management of the Ecole Moderne and payment has been made in accordance with the terms chosen on the front.

ARTICLE 3 : PAYMENT

Payment is made in cash, by bank transfer or credit card.

ARTICLE 4: TERMINATION BY THE STUDENT BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE TRAINING

For any cancellation by the student before the start of the course, the registration fee remains due.

ARTICLE 5 : TERMINATION DURING TRAINING

Abandoning the training does not give rise to any refund - even partial - of the tuition fees.

In the event that the student has to leave the course for medical reasons or reasons of force majeure, the school management may examine the situation on a case-by-case basis.

ARTICLE 6 : CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMAS

No certificates, certificates or diplomas will be issued in the event of:

  -  non-payment of all courses

  -  attendance rate at courses below 80%.

Registered students undertake to participate assiduously in the courses, to respect the timetable and to inform the School in the event of absence or withdrawal due to force majeure.


ARTICLE 7 : CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PRIVATE LESSONS

Cancelled courses less than 24 hours in advance will be charged

ARTICLE 8 : THEFT

Ecole Moderne declines all responsibility for theft or damage to property that may occur on its premises.

ARTICLE 9 : RULES

Students undertake to respect the rules of the Modern School posted in the classrooms.

In the event of non-compliance with the rules, the student may be excluded from the courses or the school by decision of the school management.

ARTICLE 10  : LAW AND JURISDICTION

The contractual relationship between the Ecole Moderne and the students is subject to Swiss law.

The parties agree to resolve amicably any dispute that may arise regarding the application or interpretation of this contract. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the parties will submit it to the courts for consideration. The legal venue will be Geneva.
